Dear Dr. Paul
Tuck & Praying Brethren,
May this message
find you all well in the Lord with His grace, mercy and peace
It has been very
turbulent here in the past days with the third of our recent storms plaguing
the country! As I write this down, three of our mission works are to some
extent affected: the First Bible Way Baptist Mission in Silangan,
Quezon City,
whose tent used as covering, was taken by the strong wind while some of their
church kids’ premises were devastated by the flash floods. The nipa huts of
some of our people at Lighthouse Baptist Mission in Alcantara,
Romblon were destroyed as well and the unfinished building of Mount Zion
Baptist Mission in Norzagaray has their pillars down.
Please remember
their preachers and families, too, namely: Deogracias
Catalonia, Loreto Francisco
and Rizaldy delos
Santos.
Adding to these
situations is about the Good
News Baptist
Church’s recent
condition: last Tuesday, road widening has just started. About four feet on the
left side will be taken and almost half of the building from the front door
will follow very soon, leaving us a small area for our use! You may recall that
the place we are using is a borrowed school building. The owner even notified us
to vacate the property the soonest possible time. WE REALLY NEED TO BEG GOD’S
INTERVENTION REGARDING THIS! We are confident at least we have Prayer Warriors
like you who rally around us before God’s throne of grace for help!
I also believe
that it is wise to go on with our fund-raising to get our own place. When that happens Christian
school for kids will be started and regular training for our 20 Bible Institute
students who are currently enrolled will be realized. Any assistance are very
much welcome for this honorable cause.
At present, our
attendance is getting bigger as shown in the attached pictures. Last Sunday,
May 18, we had less than 200 people with 5 professions of faith in Christ! That number excludes our 80+ Sunday School kids earlier that morning!
Also we praise
the Lord Jesus Christ
for the total attendance of 235 children, youth and adults (majority are
unbelievers) during our May 5-11 Vacation
Bible School.
It resulted to several professions of faith in Christ
during the week. Lord willing this year, First
Baptist Church
through the Freedom Mountain Baptist
Academy will resume her classes
simultaneous with the day care centers at First Bible Way and Mount Zion
mission works.
We thank you for
being there for us which encourages us during these trying times. With God’s
mighty working through us, we will be able to see more souls evangelized &
edified. By God’s grace, we will continue to move forward for we believe there
“remaineth yet very much land to be possessed” (Joshua
13:1). God bless you all.
Only His Servant,
