Dear Friends,

Nehemiah 6:15-16 “So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.  And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God. We know that we are not finished building a wall of sound doctrine and a NT Church here in Nancy but, we certainly know that we are in the midst of a great work and we are also made to realize that there are those that would love to see us fall on our face. My prayer is that one day the enemies to the work in Nancy will know what we know…. that God is in this work!!!! I also want to say thank you for your prayers on my behalf. I can certainly tell that God’s people have been praying for me as we try to minister in Nancy.

As most of you know Sister Cleo has had a rough go of it for getting close to a year now with her headaches. In the last month she has taken a terrible spill and has suffered tremendous pain as a result of this. This of course has limited Brother Andy from being as active as he normally is. So the ladies of the mission work as they have opportunity take turns going out and sitting with Cleo so Andy can come to some of our services. They also go sit with her so Andy can go to the store and do any running that he needs to do. However, we are small in number and not able to do allot. There have been others from sister churches that are helping as they can as well. I know that they still covet your prayers in this serious time of need. We are also experiencing a bit of revival in our midst as we have had one to join and another young couple with their baby visit with us for the better part of a month. We have talked to this couple and we have answered all their questions and expressed to them to follow the leadership of God in whether they should serve with us at Rolling Hills. They keep coming back and we thoroughly enjoy their fellowship with us around God’s blessed Word.

Also in the last month God has providentially brought us into contact with a piece of property to purchase. This land is in Nancy, it has right at three acres, a 832 sq ft garage that we will finish out (God willing), and a trailer with two bedrooms, two baths and an addition. It is right smack dab in the middle of a community just outside of the Nancy “city limits”. Last Saturday dad and I went door to door in the community and the people seemed favorable about what we wanted to do. We have finally come to terms on the purchase price and now we are looking into the financing. The price of the property is $54,000 which is down from $65,000. While I do not believe in begging I do believe that God can and does move on the hearts of His people. IF ANY OF YOU FEEL LEAD TO HELP WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME BY USING THE CONTACT INFO GIVEN AT THE TOP OR CONTACT MY PASTOR DONNIE BURFORD. We will be glad to answer any questions.

The Lord has also lain on my heart to preach from the Book of Nehemiah about the attacks of Satan and who he uses to discourage God’s work and God’s people. One thing I have noticed time and again with Nehemiah is that he does not get into fights with the enemies (perhaps we all should learn that lesson). He responds with prayer and continued devotion to God and His work. I have told our people while I do not want us to be so paranoid that we can’t enjoy the blessings of God I still wanted us to be watching and praying that God will protect us in this most sensitive time.

Please continue to pray for us as we build and battle for the honor and glory of God.

Sincerely,

Brother Troy, Terra and Zechariah McGahan
